I’M BEING PROMOTED TO BIG SISTER!
Childbirth For Siblings:
Once you’ve broken the news, involve them as much as you can let them feel the baby kicking and talk to the infant if they want to. Talk about what babies are like and what they can do. Show them pictures of themselves as babies and talk about funny things they did.
HOW HAS REYNIYA ROSE ADAPTED TO BEING A BIG SISTER?
Reniya Rose has adapted to being a big sister so effortlessly. She has shown how attentive, patient, kind, nurturing and loving she is. Reniya loves playtime with her sister and can make her laugh with ease. Reniya is always involved and a helping hand around her sister, which includes assisting her mother with changing her sisters nappy, storytime and even settling her baby sister if she’s not happy.
THE LATEST NEWS WITH RENIYA ROSE
Reniya has recently started to show an interest in her surroundings when travelling. This includes telling me what buses we’re getting on and to what destination, as well as the names of different shops we go to and being able to point out the areas of houses she’s familiar with on our travel (without the help of mum). Once home, Reniya is able to make references to what she and mum did while they were out, and can also name the different parts of her body like her head, shoulders, knees and toes. Moreover, when reading a book Reniya’s been able to understand what she is seeing by placing one finger towards a picture. Reniya show’s willingness to learn beyond what she is told and shows further interest by asking the question “BUT WHY?" at the end of a sentence. Reniya now knows her numbers up to 20 and enjoys her shapes. With some encouragement, she can use her potty independently. Her confidence allows her to freely go and play with other children of all ages, but she also likes to independently play by herself. Reniya loves talking about concepts which include time of the day (morning and night), what the weather's like outside and what outdoor wear or equipment she would need for the climate (boots, coat, hat and an umbrella). She's energetic and is always on the go for a dazzling little 2-year-old girl!
