Who We Are
Welcome to Ria Michaela, a private household staffing service created for families who want more than just childcare.
We help connect parents and nannies who foster a love for children’s healthy development through play and learning, supporting children from 16 months to 16 years old. We observe and create tailored plans for families, helping children reach key milestones and supporting long-term growth and well being. Parents or nannies can sign up for a free consultation, where we help you achieve your goals for effective parenting, or offer guidance for working with children and families. Contrary to the traditional educational system, our nannies centre on the personalised needs of each child. They support children with homework, learning activities, and development in a way that feels gentle, nurturing, and tailored to the child’s unique personality. From our experience and research, we are well-equipped to work with parents and nannies in the industry, supporting families who want a more holistic approach to see childcare.
-
Finding the right person to support your child is not simply about qualifications, it is about trust, connection, and feeling completely at ease within your own home.
Ria Michaela was created to offer a more thoughtful and intentional alternative to traditional childcare recruitment. As a small, independent agency, the focus is not on volume, but on carefully matching families with a select and trusted community of nannies and tutors who are genuinely aligned with their values, lifestyle, and needs.
Each candidate is personally hand-picked, drawing on real experience within private households, UHNW environments, and educational settings. The approach goes beyond CVs and checklists, considering personality, emotional intelligence, and the ability to build meaningful, lasting relationships with both children and parents.
With a strong understanding of children with a wide range of behaviours, including neurodiverse needs, every placement is approached with care, depth, and intention.
This is a service built on quality, discretion, and genuine connection, where families feel supported, understood, and confident in the people welcomed into their home.
-
We take time to understand each child, each home, and each family’s rhythm. Our process is calm, clear, and personal, combining developmental insight with practical support that feels natural for everyday life.
-
Families who value intention, stability, and growth, and nannies who are committed to gentle, child centred care. We partner with those who want a thoughtful, holistic approach to raising children and running a home smoothly.

RENIYA ROSE
Developmental Milestones
Reniya Rose started walking at 11 months and learned her first sign language (BSL) word “hello” when over 1 years old (14 months). This was learned with milestone plans by her mother and watching something special on CBeebies. Niy could count from 1-10 before 16 months and could say the following numbers after an odd number was said at random. Little Niy has the ability to say over 15 words and can form sentences before the age of 2 which is found to be incredibly impressive.

FAQs
-
Once you submit a request, time is taken to understand your family, your routine, and the kind of support you are looking for. Suitable candidates are then carefully selected and introduced to you.
For temporary bookings, your date and time are secured once payment is received. For permanent placements, you are guided through introductions, trial periods where appropriate, and confirmation of the role.
The process is designed to feel straightforward, supported, and tailored to your home.
-
Every candidate is personally hand-selected based on experience, reliability, and their ability to build genuine connections with children and families.
This includes experience across private households, educational settings, and a range of family environments, including those with neurodiverse needs.
Matching is not based on availability alone, but on personality, values, and how naturally a candidate fits within your home.
-
Fees depend on the type of service you require.
Temporary bookings are charged based on the confirmed hours, with a minimum booking requirement, and include the agency’s service and administration support.
Permanent placements involve a one-off, non-refundable introduction fee. Where ongoing support is preferred, an agency support fee allows continued guidance throughout the placement.
-
Changes or cancellations should be shared as soon as possible so the best support can be offered.
Bookings are based on confirmed hours and availability, so short-notice cancellations may still be chargeable. Where possible, alternative arrangements or cover can be explored.
The approach is always to be fair, clear, and supportive, while respecting the time that has been reserved for you.
-
Ongoing support is available to both families and candidates, particularly where an agency support arrangement is in place.
This includes guidance, help with communication, and support in maintaining a positive and respectful working relationship within the home.
The focus is on creating stability and ease, rather than stepping away once a placement has been made.
-
This is a small, independent agency built on quality, discretion, and genuine connection.
Rather than working at volume, the focus is on introducing a select group of trusted candidates who are thoughtfully matched to each family.
The approach goes beyond qualifications, considering how someone will feel within your home, how they connect with your child, and how naturally they fit into your day-to-day life.
